Dungarvan is a picturesque seaside town located in County Waterford on the South Eastern coast of Ireland. The Irish name for the town, Dún Garbhán, is taken from Saint Garbhann who founded a church in the town around the 7th century AD.

Lismore Heritage Town

Lismore (meaning Big Fort) was founded in 636 by St. Carthage. It features a 1st century cathedral and an impressive castle built by the Duke of Devonshire. Nearby you can find Ballysaggartmore towers - one of the most impressive gatehouses in Europe. For entertainment there's great golfing and fishing nearby.

Mount Mellary Abbey

Mount Melleray was founded in 1832 by Cistercian monks who had previously been ousted from France. The Abbey itself contains a fine collection of 12th and 14th manuscripts and also 5 Ogham stones from Kilgrovan.
